The Junges Theater Bonn celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2009. Since 1969, we offer theatre plays for children and adolescents, for families, schools and kindergartens. With more than 120,000 visitors during the past season, we were for the fourth time in a row the best-visited children’s theater in entire Germany. As a private theatre, based on a non-profit association, we only receive few subsidies from the city of Bonn and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. These subsidies cover about 18 per cent of our budget, about 82 per cent we have to achieve through earnings ourselves. Therefore, we especially depend on the support of private persons, companies and sponsors.
